"Symbiosis" tells the story about the chaotic clash of two musical unlike organisms, Chiptune and Neurofunk; the latter one being of dominant nature and behavior over the other.

It develops playing around with two main melodies, which are transformed and recontextualized in a few different ways, from reharmonization and key modulations to time signature changes, representing the slow process of transformation and adaptation to survive until the symbiosis is complete and they accept each other.

Incredible!

nice

*imagining a collab between you and Mr.bill*

I wasn't certain I was gonna get into it with that chip tune intro but you really hit the turbo button at that minute mark. Despite it's influence on everything here, I'm not as into chiptune as many other newgrounds users. I'm glad I looked past that and waited. The reese basses didn't fuck around. Loved those techy drum lines and sparse 32nd note snare patterns.

Baha, nice liquid switch up halfway in. I love this track so much. I won't lie, the mix needs a little nit picking. I think you're limiting the sound a little too much which is crushing some of the special tones that only exist in those higher registers. I tend to fuck up my own mixes pretty often, so don't listen to me. I go too heavy on high frequencies and don't notice on my monitors/headphones until I take the final export into my car.

This track is awesome. Juicy little arps <3

The instruments are not in harmony, and are very random. What i mean is that the instruments would be better on their own, rather than playing them simultaneously. I also feel as if the part in 1:48 wasn`t really needed, it takes a whole 20 seconds before the drop.
Its as if the song is trying to be 3 genres at once, and fails pretty badly.
the song is so confused it doesn`t even know what key its playing in.
Pretty wack though, i like the idea!

Zelgeon responds:

I respect your opinion, this style of composition isn’t for everyone i guess :P but just so you know, everything that you hear was written to sound exactly like it is now, and by that i mean that actually each sound here plays a vital role in contributing to build rich and colorful harmony, listen closely!
