Nice!
I love it and i LOVE IT!!!!!
You've got a true masterpiece, the variations in the rythm, the "epiccness" of the audio, EVERYTHING
"Have you ever heard the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?"
-Emperor Sheev Palpatine, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (2005)
This is a line I use quite a bit when referring to the story that inspired this track, for reasons you should be able to understand, IF you know the story and the point of it. ...to everyone else, my use of it has come off as annoying and borderline trolly. :)
Anyway, laughs aside, this track is actually very different from my other works. While it is a techno song with equal parts EDM and orchestra in its sound selection, it is actually NOT designed to be EDM. This track is designed with more of a focus on the artistic perspective, and so does something I've never (intentionally) done before: it puts FIVE key changes into this song, with each key having been selected for a different emotion tied to a different part of the story. This said, it was very hard for me to do these key changes in a way that'd make sense, but somehow I seem to have managed to pull it off, even if not flawlessly. Overall though, this was a very enjoyable (and difficult, and memory-intensive (the FLP to this is one of my largest ever, yet the size of this one could potentially be the norm from me in the future)) track to make, and I hope you enjoy listening!
...side note to the musicians in the audience who may potentially be considering doing some form of remix of this track: Tunebat and other platforms will not be reliable in telling you the key of this song if you can't figure it out by ear, as there is no one key to the song. So let me throw you a bone here and tell you the keys/BPM of the song, as well as when the key changes happen:
A minor (again) - 2:48 - 3:38
BPM of the track is 140 BPM.
Side note #2: there will be a "The Necromancer 2", probably released sometime in the next 2 months, as per there is more to the story, which I didn't work into the "story-telling" of this track for purposes of keeping it concise; the sequel will be made similarly but probably shorter (likely less than 3 minutes), darker and with less key changes. However, it will not be the next song I release.
