Was so happy with Pixel Day that I immediately tried writing some more music...

I now have 8 new files that will probably sit in my RSN folder for 10 years or until I open them at some point and decide whether I keep them, delete them, or god forbid finish them. This isn't actually one of those 8 new songs. Apparently I created this file in 2019. It's a vicious cycle that subsists of "write, do-nothing, do-nothing, do-nothing, do-nothing, do-nothing for years, open old sound files, cry, finish."

It's not a very successful work-flow but it occasionally produces something and that's 100% more than nothing at all.

Just looked up the term "brain dance," apparently Aphex Twin lost the battle to IDM. I remember reading ages ago how he called the genre "Brain Dance" and it never caught on. I've even tried calling it that from time to time. Publications collectively decided sometime in the 90's that "Intelligent Dance Music" sounded cooler and then shortened it to IDM...
