Update 2

There are strips of cloth wrapped around his left arm, two of which are left long and dangling; so much so that they touch the floor and often drag across it for several inches. On the ends of each strip is a silver circlet with the same symbol that is attached to his hind foot claw looped through it.

Update

Nyvere will never cover his right arm, seeing no point in doing so. The brace on his arm is also connected to permanent shoulder armor (design pending; open to suggestions).

His entire arm is formed from precipitation strengthened Inconel with small amounts of niobium combined with nickel to form the inter-metallic compound Ni3Nb (small 3), otherwise known as Inconel 751. His arm is also covered in an thin diamond coating.

His arm is several inches longer than the left, reaching almost to his knee.

His shoulder is colored that same blue to mark where his shoulder armor would be.

****

I admit I'm incredibly happy with the coloring job I did, even if I did do just flats on everything but his wing membrane. And in only doing the flats I cut off a lot of time working on this piece, not to mention refraining from causing the colors to become muddy and running into each other due to terrible blurring. I still remember what some of my first digitally colored pieces look like, and I cringe.

The thing hanging from the fairly large and long dew claw is only on his left foot. I don't know what the symbol means or if it even has an origin--aside from being a pretty little decoration.

I have the feeling someone is going to say I based him around or colored him off of the Na'vi. In fact, I had several people complain about that in the Livestream I had been doing and couldn't help but wonder. Is anything that happens to be blue automatically a Na'vi? Not to mention they have that 'glitter' all over them and it is white, not the electric blue shown here.

Anyway. Nyvere.
