HO HO HO! I'm back again just for a little while. I'm trying to post more frequently FUCKING BELIEVE ME. YOU PEOPLE DERSERVE CONTENT AND I CAN'T GIVE IT TO YOU!!! WAHHHH! WAHHHH!

A lot of the art that I'm putting my time in to right now stays below deck because it's either tied up in different projects or it's throw-away work that I make to better my understanding of a subject. Tell me If I said that before. I think I did. Fuck me, anyway.

Left to right, top to bottom.

First thing I made for this canvas was a really shitty sketch of a head that I got really pissed off at so it became my warmup for the canvas. I'm not gonna say that the end result is COOL or GOOD but it's better and I figured a few things out when I was working on it.

Then I have a dude putting his hand in the camera over there. I was working straight ahead trying to make visually legible thumbnails of things, then expanding the detail I put in to them. It was fun. I have been trying to get better at line drawing recently and I still blow ass at it but I'm always improving which is cool.

Then we have a drawing of my little persona head thing. To be perfectly honest I want to stop drawing myself so nicely. It's really lame. I might switch up how I draw my character to make it look stranger eventually.

Then we have the sylin' fellah on the far right taking up most of the frame. I worked from loose to tight rendering that dude and I had a great time doing it. I split the work over two sessions. Could have taken one if I was working smarter though. I'm really happy about how a lot of the rendering turned out. I have been insipried by @cjbk01 on Twitter DOT COM for a good while now. A lot of their renders have really dialed in details in some areas and then pull way back with the rendering in others. I always thought that was really smart to try to save on time by not rendering the things that are unimportant to the piece or that do not interest you. Not to compare myself to them of course. I'm not gonna claim that my art is 4% as expressive and impactful as theirs.

Last thing is a male torso I did from imagination. The values turned out really nice. You can apply all kinds of filters and shit to it and there are still very prominent shapes that show up that I intended to be there. I think that the portions of the sketch that remain are pretty cool. Hey, you! Yeah! You! The person that doesn't know how people can even illustrate something detailed and shit. Guess what? It starts out really off the wall and stupid looking sometimes. It's all about building off of what you started with and innovating what you're working on constantly. That's how cool shit always gets done.

Alright folks! THAT'S IT FOR TODAY! SEEE YOU LATTTERRRRRRR!!!!
