A Freznid Couple in a Field

Excerpt from "Analysis of Unintegrated Planets in the Northeast Galactic Quadrent" by Hawpi Gezille

Depicted is a male Freznid named "Muak'uak" (translated as "Man leaping from hill") participating in a Pleekan, a meditative ritual performed when experiencing grief over a lost loved one, before a small grave.

He is accompanied by his wife, named "Depisoke" (translated as "Fruit pastry"), who consoles her husband during his pleekan. In Freznid culture, Depisoke is considered a very beautiful woman due to her large head, a beauty standard for female Freznids.

When undergoing a pleekan, the individual wears a Yimyun, a charm bearing the face of a spirit. The ritual typically lasts 2 hours, but there are no rules regarding how long or often they can be held when overcoming grief. There are records of pleekans lasting up to a staggering three months.

This seems like one possible outcome if the dominant species on Earth had evolved from some kind of sea-dwelling worm, instead of from a proto-hominid one. Given their anatomy, I don't understand how they would put those tattoos on each other, let alone make the bricks in the foreground...still, it's interesting.

I like the one on the left, he looks like a fleshy onion ring. Awesome work as always

How long do I need to cook them
