Vampire's Bit · Title Screen

Share

The title screen for Vampire's Bit, a small Jam game I started working on some years ago.

The game's graphics follow NES limitations pretty closely, as it's heavily inspired by older games like Pacman, Bomberman and Berzerk.

While I haven't worked on this for a very for a long time, due to a lack of time and inspiration, I'd love to go back to it and rework it into a proper and more polished game someday.

Meanwhile, you can check the lastest demo I made for the project on my itch.io page:

I love vampires, and this pixel art

VampireDev responds:

Thank You!!

Great job with capturing that retro aesthetic! Love the coloring and layout in this title screen.

VampireDev responds:

Thank You!

Congrats on the frontpage, this looks very detailed and I love her design. Will also try the game sometime.

VampireDev responds:

Thank You so much! Let me know what you think about the game after you try it!

Really good pixel work on the girl. But maybe the background is too flat bay comparison?

VampireDev responds:

Thank You! Yeah, I wanted to keep the background a bit on the minimalistic side so it wouldn't steal the focus from the girl. My main inspiration was Rampage's title screen on the NES.
I'd love to make a more detailed version of the background someday.

I've always enjoyed the old-timey palletes comprised of colors you would never dream work together

Small suggestion; If the movement in the gif is as minimal as a single blink, just upload a still image, since a gif can't be enlargened on viewing

VampireDev responds:

Thank you! I'll keep that in mind!
