This post marks the first of eight exclusive Newgrounds posts that I will make for some of the crowd members in my upcoming masterpiece, "Start Fresh Next Semester". These posts are considered as complete art pieces, and the characters will play a role as crowd members in the final painting.

Start Fresh Next Semester Progress:

Stage 1 - Stage 2 (Part 1) - Stage 2 (Part 2) - Stage 3 - FINALE

So, adding crowd members for my upcoming masterpiece was originally going to be worked on when I kicked off Stage 2. This did not formulate into plan, however, as the scenes from Stage 1 had some glaring issues in anatomy and structure that needed to be addressed. But now that most of the problems of the two sub-paintings have been fixed and face-lifted, combined with the fact that I needed a break from making scenery before the Scope Creep and Art Block got exponentially worse, I turned my attention to working on the people in the crowd. These will range from artistic representations of close friends to fandom characters, along with anything in-between. I expect to have at least 40 unique characters all drawn out when everything is all said and done.

Joining the crowd will be Lila and Jaune from SrPelo's "Spooky Month" series, a series of animations I have grew very fond of ever since I started using Newgrounds full-time. Given that Jaune and Lila don't hang out a lot in-person, I decided to draw them like their having a "Girl's Night Out" together.

The plan now is to get all the crowd members finished before I can call Stage 2, Part 2 a close. Stage 3 will be designated to arrange the crowd members and apply the finishing touches of the two sub-paintings.

(4/13/25 edit: I just realized that Jaune actually wears a belt around her shorts, and so I added that. oops)

(2/24/25 edit: I spent an extra 10 Minutes and an additional layer giving the BG more of an Frutiger Metro theme, after learning about its existence a few days ago. I will be keeping the original art along side in this post, but expect to see more of a Frutiger Metro theme for SNFS going forward.)
