It's pretty well done! I really like the use of dithering and the colors are on point.
My only complaint is that the background doesn't work that well with the rest of the picture.

Cool. An actually decent redesign that still tries very hard to remain faithful and loyal to the original work. Without trying to divide or anger the fan base.
