STATIC Journal: The Soldier

A friend of mine is running a WW1 horror themed game including their original monstrosities known as the Mangled.

Who are NOT very friendly if the image doesn't tell ya.

My character-- a Doctor-- has a hobby of sketching which I've been doing digitally (Yea, that's not traditional, I decided to be masochistic and tried to make a digital drawing that looks traditional).

This is a sketch of one of the bosses we faced.

"We encountered it in the Trenches, it simply lurked about no-man's-land. We spotted it when bolts of lightning began striking a particular region, and he was just standing there drawing it to himself."

"He would wander around for a time before disappaering into a bunker. We then heard someone screaming in German, it was my native tongue 'Dear God, please no!' then the screams stopped."

"When he came out, he was eating something... We tried to get through the trench line, but it caught a glimpse of one of us and began to head in our direction."

"It would pull out the various pieces of barbed wire tangled metal out of its back, then chucked it like a javelin, trying to drag people over."

"It seemed to be toying with our friend."

"Thankfully it didn't expect to be pelted with two sticky grenades and shot with an elephant gun."

"In all honesty... I didn't expect the latter of those two either. Yet now we have an elderly gentleman who looked to have gotten lost on safari. Bit strange they ended up in Europe."
