An idea that was originally pun-related because Philip J <i>Frye</i>, but then I noticed that Shiver's hairstyle (and her outfit to an extent) looked like Leela's so the idea evolved into drawing Deep Cut cosplaying as the Futurama trio. Big Man as Bender was somewhat the easiest, as I just gave him a big "mascot-like" outfit to him.

I gave Frye the N-Zap 85 and Shiver the Splattershot Junior, both representing weapons from the past and the future (well, in terms of the latter being translucent). I wanted to pose them like "bounty hunters", (taking inspiration from the Futurama video game boxart) since they're also treasure-hunting bandits in the storyline of Splatoon 3, holding up their weapons which was a perfect fit for them.

I sorta struggled with this because I'm still not used to drawing human anatomical characters, combined with the fact I forget to draw characters the way I usually do (which is why I use refsheets 100% of the time, even on paper). I opted for the title card laserlight backgrounds as a simple, yet effective background in my own style, so I could get the point of the pun drawing further without having to spend hours on a decent background.
