Trauma.

It's the figure that dwindles in your head. Everything bad you passed in your life, every anxiety you felt in your lifetime, it's always there to follow you the moment it happens.

It stares at you, with a look that, if you stare long enough, it slowly consumes your mind, slowly eroding your sanity with those thoughts and dreams of hope and happiness you always wanted, yet it will make you seem that you will never get them, driftin you further away more and more, almost like it's imposible for you to get to them.

Did you get beaten by your father or your brother when you were young and rejected by them for being who you are?

Trauma will be watching you from afar.

Did you get neglected by your peers at school or work or even by your family and forced to live a life of misery and pain?

Trauma will be watching you from afar.

Did you follow someone you trusted and they guided you to a unknown place, only to then be touched unconfortably in ways you didn't want?

Trauma will be watching you from afar.

Did you get rejected by the people around you and your family because of a mental or physical condition you were born with, mistreated like you weren't human, a monster or a fiend, left confused in the world without guidance and forced to grow up at a later age without a childhood well nourished?

Again, Trauma will be watching you from afar.

It's a monster, a vile one that you cannot defeat my sword or words, neither musket nor bow.

The best to defeat this vile creature that appears in your nightmares, is to not look into its gaze. Do anything you can to keep yourself away from it.

Talk to the people whom you will find the most loving and nourishing in love and happiness.

Do actions to others like you wish to do it to them.

Take medicines and healing processes that you trust to further block the effects of the monster's evil gaze.

All of this is the sword that cuts the head of the monster like butter in bread.

Just remember that the gaze to the abyss of his eyes can be the road for insanity, and when you can't take it anymore, it can be the end for YOU.

Still on courses, but I made this to vent out some feelings I had for a while whilst still making a scary monster based around a personification of trauma for the Spooki Month. Progress on the Flash game is going swell too!

(Btw I was never groomed or SA'd, but the first, second and last ones are based on my real accounts... It's really sad for me to admit it but it's true.)

I'll try to make some more elaborate drawing soon with AsterReich in mind, but 'till then I'll need to work around my sleep schedule. Spoiler alert, it's a bit messed up. ^^;
