Miko the Girl Detective

"In 1935, Ichigo Mitsuoki "Vazu" made a comic inspired by Hergé's Tintin, wanting to make a comic that "(...) would equal to that of the young boy in a Asian market, resounding the comic industry with a charming and refreshing tone like a thirsty gulp of winter water in a summer day." He began his works on a little young adult girl from Japan who, with an adventurous character, would go around the country and the colonies solving mysteries, be it stolen artifacts, kidnappings or just visiting and patrolling places until something happens and led to a new adventure for her to discover new people and new facts about cultures and far-away or local and native regions she visits by.

In the year 1940, Takamori soon learns more and more about the outside world and discovers that he has Christian roots and Portuguese blood, with a marriage dating all the way back to 1589. He learns that his kind, the "hidden Kirishutans", like Asami Mitsuoki Vazu, his long long grandmother, was married to a Portuguese traveler in Nagasaki and beared children, all inside Catholic faith and tradition. His long grandfather, Noeh Mitsuoki Vazu, her son, soon lived to be a local artist for block-painting, so it started leading to connect some dots on Ichigo's head: being an artist, his family having some foreign names like Vazu and Noeh, him being from a family of hidden Kirishitans who kept hidden their faith in art and mind for fear of shame and death, it opened his eyes, but it also made him happy to know that he had some spiritual enlightment.

Around the period of a year, Japan would had bombed Pearl Harbor and Ichigo, as a newfound pacifist in his faith at heart yet lover of a free country, would had fled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for safehaven of his comics and aspiring-to-be animation in the industry.

As the times passed, Ichigo had to change some things on the making of his manga comic, dubbed Miko the Detective Girl, mainly the touching of real life events and, if so, make them as fictionalized as possible in alternate scenarios like how Hergé had done in his comics later on. This would have proven a success, as in the 1960s, the rise of anime in the US market like Astroboy, Speed Racer and Kimba the White Lion made him possible to introduce his newfound passion into animated form, like how he dreamed in his 20s around the period where Bugs Bunny and Mickey Mouse where in it's high.

As the time went on from the 80s onwards Ichigo would become really content with the series he had so achieved. The teens and young adults of America and Japan really loved and praised Miko's independent and charismatic nature, the action-packed adventures really put them on the edge, and as the 90s aproached, games became common for consoles like the SNES and SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive and soon, as a nostalgic trip to the golden era of the series, a movie and a game for both PS1 and 2 alike in 20001 and 2004.

Sadly, Ichigo would die before seeing the adaptation of the remastered movie in 1998, leaving a legacy of young adult craving more adventures of Miko to explore. Perhaps he is drinking the winter water in the summer days that never end up there in the pearly gates, forever grateful that his legacy will never be forgotten in generations to come."

ICHIGO AND THE ADVENTURE OF ART - A DOCUMENTARY OF MIKO THE DETECTIVE GIRL (2007)

A drawing of an idea that surged when I was seeing the design of Knives Chau and Sasuke the Ninja Boy from 1963. I though "Hey, that made me think of a whole-ass biography AND series that I could make about a girl in an alternate timeline where Japan is Christianized and democratized earlier and Miko is a detective in the 1910s Japanese Epire solving crimes like in story related. Lemme write and draw dat shet down, hommie!"

So there ya have it! It's a bit low quality cuz I'm working on the assets of the game plus I'm making an animation on courses too with extra spice of sforzo (effort) to it, so yeah, gibbe the dough a time to rest.

See ya on Christmas, guys!

(I wonder who's the guy on Secret Santa that's gonna draw me. I know who I did 7u7)
