Hey doods and dudettes of Newgrounds and the interwebz alike, Ricardo here with another submission for y'all!
So I see that my recent animation, "The Strange Dream", as with "The bros in the room at 3AM", was a much bigger success than I anticipated, even if only a few points compared to the latter. But all of the work of animating made me very tired and left me with very few ideas. I've been bingewatching late 19th century-early 20th century gun shooting videos, FNF mod showcases and main game updates, searching around vidya gaems that fill my niche tastes or that might wake up a new interest on a new genre, reading books about history or novels and comics for distracting and keep me hooked on captivating stories, travelling around from my new home 2 hours east to spend some time away from the capital or to my hometown to see my family and friends... You get the drill.
I'm resting a bit for a while, so that I regain some ideas for a new drawing or maybe a new animation, who knows! ;)
Big bro bought a new mic and some nibs for my digital pen, so I went ahead and made this drawing based on my recent tastes, mainly AsterReich (Ricardo and Ryleigh) and the Second Anglo-Boer War, with their trusty rifles, ready to wander and ambush some British convoys in South Africa.
I do feel this drawing is a bit rushed in some parts, like Ryleigh and Ricardo not having full hair around their heads or Ryleighs rifle being a little rough, but maybe it's because I'm a bit tired, so I'll let it pass this time. I thing it still looks good tho, donnya think? :)
That's all for now. I'll see ya when I gather some ideas from this rest or whenever I feel I have something wholesome to do. Bai c:

No, it's a Mauser Model 1895, chambered in 7x57mm Mauser, used by Chile, Brazil (until replacing with the Model 1908 Mauser), Mexico and also used by the Boers, built by DWM (Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken AG) in Germany, which was a merging of Mauser and Ludwig Loewe.
