Level 9 HAHA

Share

Remember back in the day? When breaking level 9 was a big deal? Well, there's a brief story behind this one.

Before the Redesign, the exp system was constantly changing with Pimp's relentless depositing. The first "big" jump in the exp. threshold would be encountered between level 9 and 10 and every level onward.
As I was saying about the system, the level threshold for level 9 and up would increase as Pimp continually set the new bar for max exp. - essentially, the minimum for every level 9 and beyond was set by Pimp, making it entirely possible for one to advance a level in one day and fall back a level the next day if they got the timing right.

So what I did was I always kept myself one deposit away from level 10. The joke was that I could laugh at all the NG'ers bellyaching about the "big exp wall", whereas I could go to level 10 anytime I wanted - hence me sitting on top of the wall, gazing down on the specks of NG'ers below. Of course, every 10 days I would need to deposit to compensate for the daily increasing threshold for level 10. In fact, before the Redesign, my ancient posts clue in that I may have became level 10 at least FIVE times!

A little something about the history of NG. Hope you like it!

I remember that....

I made it to mid- level 10 before the redesign. Ohhh I was so proud. "Look at all the level 9 noobs!"
Those were the days.
Excellent story.

The story means more than the art

I dont think it would mean as much with out the story to go along with it

Very well done

The shading is excellent and it is quite well thought out according to the background story you provided. Nicely done, just like the rest of your stuff dude. I like how you did the sun setting and reflecting off of the water and the ripples are pretty cool as well. I'm not sure what else I can say about this. :\
