Having a show focusing on the Mystery Gang's kids would be a lot better than Velma.
Okay, so here are the kids' names and parents in order:
Blake Jones--Fred and Daphne's son
Casey Rogers-- Shaggy's daughter (named after the late Casey Kasem)
Sal--Velma's daughter
Ford--Velma's son
Nora Jones--Fred and Daphne's daughter
Given the massive uproar of the new HBO Velma series (what were they thinking?) I wanted to draw something more positive revolving around Scooby-Doo. I noticed that there are a lot of franchises and re-creations of this show, but I never seen one where the gang passes the torch and move forward. I know, I know, it's not Scooby-Doo without Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy. But after hearing and seeing the bits and pieces of HBO's Velma, is this really how we want future generations to see Scooby-Doo?
Instead of taking something precious and innocent like these characters and literally molding them into today's modern "society," why not take the original characters and give them something to pass on to?
Anyway, that's my two cents.
Having a show focusing on the Mystery Gang's kids would be a lot better than Velma.
I agree!
