it was hard to make an isometric perspective room?
Started this after the basement room art I did a few weeks back and got side tracked making spooky Halloween art!
This was the small computer room in the basement of my friend's house who used to live next door to where I grew up that I feel was quite formative to my interest in art, animation and game making.
We hung out there more than at my place because until about 2004 we had dial up at my place while he had this newfangled "High Speed" internet thing. We spend a bunch of time there, browsing the web, playing and making RPG maker games, going on bash.org and reading gaming news sites. We had quite a few sleepovers and I still remember watching late night Teletoon and Anime on the basement living room TV, running back to the computer during commercial breaks.
This is also where I first saw many Newgrounds classics and ones that died in judgement. Still have a vivid memory of one called "Desert" that had some guy walking in a 2D plane desert and getting eaten by a cactus that got Blammed. It's kind of strange to think back on old Blammed flash toons that are more than likely lost forever. No clue why this one's stayed in my brain more than a lot of actually good flash I saw back then. Memory's a weird thing.
Since then my friend just like me moved out of town and his family moved out, so this is one place I'll likely never see again. One of the fun things about making art is being able to revisit places that have been lost in time. Makes me wonder what places from more recent times will leave such an impact on me.
Anyhow that's my old man ramblings, thanks for indulging lol.

Not too bad, helps if you plan it out with a grid.
This is kind of weird to say, but this is my dream gaming room.
FIND THE COMPUTER ROOM!!
I love the pixel artstyle here! This one's very cool :)
TY! I have another one in a similar style about another important room from my childhood. Think I may do a couple more of these.
Cool
