This one requires a bit of backstory.
So been playing a lot of Eastward Octopia lately which has this gorgeous pixel art far ground scenery when you cross this bridge, and it's so nice it's been making me want to do something in a similar vein. Didin't have anything in mind until I looked at this painting I made when I was like 9 that my Aunt and Uncle got framed when I was younger which gave me the inspiration to sort of "Re-Make" my painting.... in pixel art obviously. Paint is one of the few mediums that never clicked with me, but I've been doing so much traditional art lately that perhaps some day I'il get back to painting. I should also get to scanning all the drawings I've done lately and post some of them to Newgrounds.

Thanks! I love how varied the results you can get with pixels. I'm glad it's becoming more of a medium all of it's own rather than always mostly being tied to retro games in people's minds.
This is absolutely beautiful. Made my entire week already! You know you've got this "pixel art" thing figured out when, at first glance, it looks more like an oil painting than a digital piece! The artist(s) of the Amiga classic "Shadow of the Beast" would be proud!

Aww thanks dude, that's a big compliment! I do wish I could oil paint for real, but at least I can approximate it with pixels haha.
This looks amazing, pretty 80s style in my opinion, reminds me of games from that era, I've seen Eastward Octopia before but didn't pay much attention to it, I might try it one day, it looks like Stardew Valley.

TY! It's a bit different than Startew, farming is much more simplified and it's slightly more story driven and the cooking mechanic plays a big part.
Initially I thought it was completely detached but I would recommend playing the main story first because there are things that happen in it that will make a lot more sense if you do. That said I'd be curious to hear the opinion of someone who plays them in reverse
