A couple systems away from ours there lives a race of beetle-like individuals, those of which are sentient enough to communicate to regularly. As we have discussed before, their planet is extremely hostile. The plants there, even the grass, are covered in a thick substance to protect itself from the slightly toxic air. While the atmosphere is breathable to us [Evacandrius], I would still advise taking the supplements I gave you, which dissolve in your throat near your windpipe, so that the entry to your lungs is protected by a basic coating that should reduce potential side effects from the air. Of course you [Aex] could ignore me and not take them, but if you start coughing blood that's on you. This planet's atmosphere, while having slightly more oxygen than usual, also has a little more nitrogen and methane than usual, thus also making the atmosphere yellow-ish in color and have a slightly higher temperature than our planet.

The Kabushijin, or "Bug People", as I have heard them called before, are sentient four armed aliens that have extreme upper body strength for several reasons. The first of which, is of course them having multiple arms and also elytra-covered wings. Yes they can fly, but not for long distances due to their sheer weight. While their arms are very muscular and fast-moving, their legs tend to not be, and you could look into using that against them if you so desired. Their skin (and armor, I will explain why this is later) is also very carapace-like, iridescent, and is a bit segmented around their chest area, but is still flexible enough to be moved (although their joints have a little less skin around them, again you can use this to your advantage in combat). I'd highly recommend looking into not slashing them, but instead using thrusts if you intend to ever do damage to them if your little "negotiations" are not enough. Their mandibles around their mouth can act like extra pairs of teeth and close over each other, almost like a sideways mouth. Their ears are below their hair stubbles that they commonly try to grow out into a sort of pony-tail, and are two simple covered holes located directly below their antennae. Their faces are well-protected by their armor and I would not recommend trying to attack there first, but instead their chests, as their clothing rarely goes up that high unless it is robe-like.

On the topic of their armor, this also ties into their culture. Every living thing on this planet is an insect, including the bugs that they eat. Their armor is made from another iridescent carapace-covered being seen in the wild, known as the Kouzou [imagine a large, elephant sized roly poly], due to how extremely tough and lightweight it is. Mobility is a key factor in their armor crafting, which is why they lack any on their arms due to how fast they need to swing their two or four handed greatswords. Under their armor they also typically wear chest-high cloth made from the various plants they grow, to keep the clothing as lightweight as possible just like their armor. They typically view anything above the chest as being unnecessary added weight that may hinder arm speed. They however, aren't lacking in technology whatsoever, and have commonly placed transparent, paper-like displays all around, powered by extremely low powered computers (often solar powered). Their processors are typically fabricated from a plastic-like material so that it may be bent around poles.

~ Excerpt taken from the first of five pages from "An introduction to the Kabushijin", by Doctor Odellian. (He goes on for about 2 pages after this talking about their technology, which Aex does not care about).

General Mowai Yamashito was born on Dex 126th, 5728 into the Mowai family [family names come first in his culture]. He was raised into the Manjisama Clan (of the 5 major clans on the planet). While he was originally doomed to work in the sweat shops due to his family being of a lower class, he was enlisted into the Manjisama military at around 17 Ticks of age, where he worked his way up into the higher ranks easily thanks to his early life revolving around hard labor in the rice fields.

While he was not the perfect soldier, at times putting his squad at risk due to his hard advancements forward, he was rewarded for his bravery and ability to keep his squad all alive no matter the cost thanks to his brilliant planning. It was this "carrying" that he had done which had allowed him to become such a great General in the Manjisama army.

Some may look down upon him, while others treat him almost as a deity and would risk their life for him (something that he frowns upon of course). His involvement with Tervium comes from him contacting the Evacarian Senate, and asking for assistance in helping quell a potential rebellion within his clan that he believes was started by a rival clan. Initially he was declined, due to his well-known violent nature, but was granted help upon defending a galactic trade center from a Kouzou stampede that was proved to be started by another clan.

Upon his acceptance, he was flown to Tervium to speak to several ambassadors. While he was offered a translator, he declined and spoke to the men directly, using his knowledge of the Evacarian language, to which the ambassadors later commented that it was "understandable, but heavily accented". So they decided to send him a somewhat experienced bounty hunter who has dealt with other races before, but not Mowai's.

Aex, being chosen for this assessment, had no idea what he was getting into. So he had asked his friend "Ode" for help. Whether him and Mowai get along is something we will have to look forward to.

This image was initially meant to be a ref, but upon making this new race I decided to make the background decently detailed to get a better introduction to his planet. Stay tuned to see more images involving different characters and interactions with them!
