As my first conceptual work i will show you this one and tell his story, so… Hope you enjoy it:

Faceless Beast

In some place of Japan

There is a legend of an old farmer who long ago had a humble life in his rice fields, but this is not that typical boring story of a farmer, it is a different story, in which this farmer learned from a young age and the hard way that Life is not as beautiful as it seemed in fairy tales, that fact of childhood made man what he once was, someone antisocial, lonely and bitter, all he wanted and knew was his rice field, it was his reason for live, but still he had no reason to express it, so his face always wore the same serious and distant face, without a single grimace that expressed humanity in it, almost as if he had no face, he worked to live or lived to work, he it did not matter.



One day a man in a red robe approached his house followed by two samurai warriors, his face did not show it, but he was intrigued and surprised, when he went to ask what that elegant man needed, the answer left him with such anger that for For a moment he stopped thinking clearly, that man was the son of a tyrant emperor, who was looking for space to build a palace on the outskirts of his empire, without caring who or what would cross his path, warning our peasant that if not he was leaving the place in a month, the next time he watered his rice fields it would be with his own blood.



Time passed and passed and that expressionless peasant had to observe how they destroyed everything he had worked for before going for him, but for some reason, instead of letting himself die, he fled and ran away, hiding among a bamboo field, he swore take revenge on those who took everything he had in life, seconds after finishing that sentence he felt cold on his back, at that moment he knew he was destined to die, one of the samurai who came with the prince emperor had found him, and before he could say the slightest word he felt an intense pain in his back, difficulty breathing and finally, as he saw how a katana pierced his body, bathing his outfit with an intense red color, and even before he died and became unconscious his face was the same empty and distant face that he carried all his life, until he finally breathed his last.



Instead of ceasing to exist, he woke up, but he was no longer the same, when he saw the ground there was no blood around him, he had become thin and his skin had a dark grayish tone, when he saw his hands he saw that he was missing two fingers and that they were also longer, when he saw himself reflected in a pool of water to better understand the situation he was even more confused, he had no face, no mouth, no ears, no eyes, no nose ... Still he could see, smell and hear , the only thing he could not do was make any sound, when he returned to the place where he woke up he saw an empty rice sack next to him, but when he saw inside the sack it was no longer empty and the only thing he had inside was a mask made of wood with a smile painted on it.

And so began the story of a wandering soul who protected the fields from the shadows, eliminating anyone who wants to destroy other people's property and protecting those who work in a humble way.

So yeah… This is that story, some people may think this character is a fusion with Slenderman and Raiden but i think the story is very original, let me know what you think about it.
