Oil on Canvas, February 2010

I know there's some SotC fans out there~ I'm one of them. A wonderful work of art, that game - to say nothing of the art it's inspired. This portrait, sadly, doesn't depict any of the pivotal colossi, because I couldn't find any good references (if anyone has any, plz let me know). Even Wander's cape was hard to figure out though. I don't do portraits much, and I think it shows, but I hope it's at least recognizable. Enjoy.

I love team ico. I can't wait for their new game. I think it's cool u didn't include the colossi, honestly the memorable moments for me were the ones like this where Wander is just... wandering. I think the torso is rendered the best. I'd go into this again if I were you, add more detail. the face, hair, and hands are kind of lackluster and flat. Great composition though. And it's Shadow of the Colossus art so hells yes.

I'm glad you liked the concept. I'm thinking of doing the beginning of the battle with the sky colossus sometime, you know, when you just see it in the distance, and the subtle music kicks in?

I did concentrate a lot on the cloak. I can totally understand your complaints - I don't do many portraits. I assume by lackluster you're just meaning that they lack detail for the most part? Or they're anatomically wrong? Either sounds quite reasonable complaint wise. Anyways, thx for reviewing. SotC ftw!
