I love that the triforce is just tiny in his hands, it's such a goofy thing but it fits so well with the goofy idea to begin with.
Wait-- HE had the triforce all along!? ⁉🌟

This one was interesting to bring to final. I used my design pencil brush to do most of the rough work for it, including figuring out the lighting. Because of how that brush is, the rough ended up with a lot of nice texture that really made me enjoy it a lot. I knew I was painting it, but by the time I was at the end, the smooth and soft painting look I generally do felt too clean and pristine compared to my rough that had really grown on me. I remember seeing this one video of James Gurney where he used pencil crayon on top his gouache painting to create texture and figured it'd be good for me to try and bring that technique into my own work. I guess you could say I tried being a little experimental then with this piece, but I really like using texture with my gouache brushes already so its more of expanding my current toolset.
