This man that we see in the work, is about some of the favorite and admired artists of yesterday and today, who has decanted us with his great notes and musical melodies over the years, many of them that have saved us from a bad drink and even a bad day. With a rather complicated past, from being a nobody, to being someone important internationally. In a course full of excesses and some bad decisions, he always stood firm in the face of adversity and came through, as he could know, and that ladies and gentlemen, that is to be admired very much. He also went from being betrayed by his first Metallica bandmates in diapers and having absolutely nothing, to originating one of the best American trash metal bands of all time; MEGADETH.

Dave Mustaine, without a doubt, has become today, thanks to his great effort, sweat and hard work, he managed to become one of the most influential and relevant icons of metal in general today. For many an artist with defects, but for others (where I include myself) is considered an exemplary and transcendental teacher, a motivation to move forward and achieve the unthinkable.

"No doubt it was not such an easy job for us".

Things dragged on and several limitations happened (personal tasks) that didn't let us concentrate entirely on the project, and well, we made the decision to take the whole month of September to make it as perfect as possible. The reason why we decided to draw him was that we wanted to make an artistic tribute to him for all the work and legacy he has built over the years, something that just left us impressed.

This work, within the technical section, reminded us a lot of the Shephard drawing we did at the beginning of January of this year. Not only because of the military theme of his aura, but there were several aspects that relate to each other, such as; that the character holds an object with many separate details within the work, or that the pants have a different texture than the rest, or that the face actually went through several transformations until reaching the product and that the technique used are somewhat similar. As if it were an "TECHNIQUE OF AGGRESSION", so to speak. Related to the rendering, he uses an effect (totally new inside that concerns me) of reflective style, in the section of the microphone and bullets. We didn't know what he was doing at the time, but that turned out decently well. But well, from the beginning we wanted it to be in the middle of a concert, even though throughout the build we had the pendant to get it right. We decided to keep things a little simpler, but still look great, without complicated models so as not to oversaturate the drawing.

But going into more serious aspects, we really became fans in the Darkest Hours of our lives, where albums like Peace Sells.. But Who's Buying? or Killing Is My Business... And Buisness Is Good! helped us to overcome unpleasant personal situations. They also inspired us a lot for later projects, such as Dolly The Bloody. In spite of everything, we can say with much honor that we are happy and fortunate to have succeeded. We are quite satisfied with the result, that is, he is our idol, having him drawn in our gallery is a great achievement for us, because all that Sacrifice, all those hours and moments where my ass was about to break, were finally worth it...
