Stay tuned for tomorrow's longer process video for this painting (over an hour) where I reveal all the secrets in this painting, talk about my story with Syd's music and explain my thinking process while painting this tribute. It will be uploaded same time tomorrow.
This was the heaviest painting I had to draw lately, so many memories went through my head while painting this, I felt like i was finally saying good bye to my collage days memories. In one way it was hauntingly beautiful listening to all his songs while painting, in other way it was a sad send off. But i'm glad its finally done after 20 years of wanting to pay my dues toward this great artist.
Thank you Syd for everything.. I hope you have found peace where ever you are...

Im a big fan of coded messages and secretive paintings, it was the best tribute I can think of for someone like Syd, who lived a mysterious life, wrote the most mysterious lyrics and made the most mysterious songs :)
