My interrogator laughed arrogantly as she slapped me across the face. The restraints that bore down on my arms held as I struggled externally, but they had no affect on the strife within. Mechanized locks ground together, gnashing back and forth with reckless abandon as the regulators that once stood resolutely fled from their duties to fortify other parts of my mind. The two, eternal guardians of my rational mind were left to keep watch, but even they couldn't stop the havoc that was unfolding. Sanity dripped out of my ear, and when I closed my eyes to focus, another pair glared back. "Knock, Knock."
