My Own 8Bit Game Start Screen

FULL VIEW PLEASE!!! (And if you do rightclick view image at full view it gets even bigger)
This was my own idea for a game for the original NES using 8Bit sprites and stuff called... or rather it says Oblivion17 (the sword is the 1 and the scythe is the 7). I think if I REALLY made this into a game the game would be a lot like Megaman and Mario style platformers, but I would throw in all sorts of weapons, equipment, and awesome fight combos ( some closely resembling moves from Super Mario Bros. Z). The plot would of course feature the hero character (whose look may be customizable if I learn how to do that option) on a quest to save the universe from the evil dimensional being "Rapturius" who is using the mouths on his arms to steal the power from stars and the cores of planets leaving nothing but voids and black holes, and maybe have the hero also trying to save his friends too (what game is complete without having to save someone from the bad guys). And at certain points you can fill your power gages of good and evil to unleash mega moves similar to the game Shadow the Hedgehog. I made this using ONLY MSpaint, and it was entirely from scratch meaning if I wanted to make this it'll take a LONG time..., so DO NOT PESTER ME ABOUT WHEN THIS GAME WILL COME OUT, BECAUSE I HAVE NOT DECIDED IF I WILL DO IT OR NOT. Just keep an eye out and I may announce something someday... XD Oh and by the way nobody will ever beat the highscore I earned on this game! >:) XD

hmm

You need some refining in some places, like the placement of the letters and the 'buttons'.
However, the shading is superb for something done in MSPaint. I love the palette you've chosen for the blue fire, it's perfect.

Oblivion17 responds:

I completely understand what you mean, the letters of the main text seem kind of thin, and the Press Start seems out of center, but that part was sort of forced due to the amount of space the Scythe takes up, but who knows, I'll likely fix that soon and repost or post an updated version of it with those things fixed. As for the fire, I just went crazy on the blue fire (more than I did on the regular fire now that I think about it), I selected the colors to go from dark to light, but I wanted to make sure that I used them to make the uncontrolled look of flame more believable thanks for noticing my attention to quality... XD
