Very little is known about the Scream Queen, the woman claimed to have organized the Fright or Flight arial combat tournament. All you know is that she believes in survival of the fittest, and she is nothing if not thorough in weeding out the weak.

There is no better example of this than in the crown jewel of her armada, the infamous Black Knight. A prototype attack helicopter armed to the teeth with machine guns, flamethrowers, and missiles of both the homing and non-homing variety. As if this wasn't bad enough, players have to deal with the Black Knight's high armor and speed as well. Granting no relief whatsoever, when down to half health, the Black Knight unfolds out into a fearsome flying mech suit, complete with a giant flaming sword. The battle only gets tougher, becoming a brutal head-to-head fight for survival until you blast the Black Knight out of the sky, or die trying.

@fozuna made fun of me for giving this the most generic, overused name possible, and I challenge him to come up with something better. It is a black knight, run up on me, mothafucka.

Considering I was drawing some of my favorite things (that being machinery and cool air/spacecraft with Halloween theming), it was really only a matter of time before I found a way to shoehorn in some Transformer-alike into this miniseries. Like how the Skeleton was heavily inspired by Mr. Grimm of Twisted Metal, the Black Knight takes cues from Minion of Twisted Metal Black. As a sendoff to this miniseries, I wanted to give it a miniboss that would put fear in the hearts of players in the same way that Minion did mine. Just an unforgivingly brutal boss that makes you shit yourself in that "wait, I have to beat that?!" kind of way. I wondered if I would have it be an unlockable character like Minion, too. But I figured that it's more memorable as a boss, so you'd probably only unlock it after defeating the campaign of every ship on Hard difficulty, at least.

I had a really wonderful time drawing this Fright or Flight miniseries. It started out as a consolation prize in lieu of my lack of any -tober drawing event, but I(say it with me now, y'all) got really attached to it. I hope that you all liked it!
