Deacon West aka Anansi

Share

I've been messing around with Photoshop trying to nail a cover template for The Brave Ones comicbook once I wrap on the first episode of the series. I think that I may end up going with this layout.

As for the character, this is the story's main character. His name is Deacon West and he is on a quest to find his adoptive father, Ba Kwaku Ananse, who has gone missing. Before Kwaku went missing, Deacon was forcefully experimented on by a company called The Winston-Berkshire Group & Affilliates (WBGA). The purpose of the experiment was to create role specific super soldiers. Although many of the other test subjects died, Deacon was the only one to survive. The experiments granted Deacon with the ability to stick to walls, render his movements completely inaudible, create auditory and visual illusions of himself through pheromone release, enhanced intuition, and web generation. Along with Deacon's previous training from Kwaku, edict memory, and near genius level intellect, Deacon would have became the perfect soldier if he had not been resucued by his adootive father.

Along the way to find Kwaku, Deacon meets new allies whose relationship with him can be described as tenuous at best. Deacon will need to do his best to get along with his new companions because he will need all the help that he can get to find out what became of his adoptive father. Deacon is also trying to live up to his adoptive father's expectations of him being a helping hand to people in need while struggling with doing the right thing and not give into his less noble desires with the help of his newfound powers.
