After the party had finished their morning with the courtships and giving Ailbhe a new look, they began to leave Sholkash outpost to head off to the next town over where they will continue to partake the Southern Badlands Challenge. But as they reached to a fork in the road, Inari was wrought with a strange vision, following with the party stopping their cart once they heard a pleas of a man in a pitiful state, asking for help. However, Navieth could sense that something isn't right as the story he claimed that his party is in need of help doesn't match the description and questions they tried to ask him. It wasn't until Navieth threatened the man to be more clear does the man show his true colors and transforms into a Gibbering Mouther and spawns more of it to aid it's fight.

The fight was long and hard, but eventually they succeeded. Navieth took the time to carve the dead body of the pitiful looking man and gathered a strange, dark purple goo in an empty bottle for investigation purproses, much to Roki's jest. The party then called for help with the speaking stone that Ailbhe has gained from Nate days before, as he arrived alongside with Azita Rae Sholkash who investigate the body more and stayed with the party in a camp to ensure that no more trouble would come to them that night.

Later that evening, Ailbhe then dreamed of being in Kimbatuul Ruins, surrounded with dead bodies and skeletons on the ground, and looming before her was the red misty figure of Malafor. Malafor then questions how come he can see her clearly and ponders why Ailbhe is so familiar as well as he states that he has never thought he'd encounter "another one" like her, much to the Verdan's quip that she wasn't sure herself. Something must have clicked to Malafor as he now figures out why. Ailbhe wakes up in cold sweat, quickly drawing and writing this down until she was calmed down by Nate who was closeby. The pair then began to talk, as Nate reveals that he lost his wife to Malafor long time ago. In a moment of sympathy, the two hugged it out.

Once the night has passed, the party then made their way back to the road to the next town, as Azita would stay back and investigate this creature more.
