It's a little known fact that, along with Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, there was supposed to be a third Oracle game. When Nintendo was first planning these games, they originally called them "Seeds" instead of "Oracles", and the missing third game was to be called "Mystical Seed of Courage". However, with the password system that allowed you to continue your adventure in the sequels after completing any given Oracle game, having a third one was just too confusing. Thus, there were only two, and Farore, the Oracle of Secrets, was stuck living inside the Maku Tree giving you bonuses for special passwords.

This was (and, possibly, still is) going to be the title for my LoZ fan game which tells the untold story of Farore and Link's quest to save her.
