Originally meant as a Harley Quinn piece (I've since lost the actual reference image of said character during a data purge and had to continue from there). Ph*ck it, I tried; this took entirely too much effort and time to (barely) finish & upload--not to any specific deadline, just want it done with. Was gonna shade it & whatnot but felt stressed enough thank you, enjoy the flat instead. Consider it a stepping stone of progress or some other little treat of a beloved enough character to some at least (so frustrated I almost left this section blank but since calmed down) Program Krita. Constructive Critiques welcome.

Pardon, are you the same maokai from Pixiv? Hello!

There are imperfections with the hands, but it is clear you put a lot of effort into the overall art, even without the shading. Especially the perspective(pose?), nice!

A stepping stone is a good way to view this. More practice and drawing will help you continue to improve. Good luck!

Thanks

Sorry about that, don't let it stop you from drawing more things! I would love to see more things by you :)

thanks

nice.

A pretty nice piece ngl. Her redesign and enjoyable color palette make this really appealing to look at. Of course, the outlines on her don't seem as sharp as you'd want to be, and her hands look off proportion, this is still really nice.

maokai09 responds:

Thank you for your fair score. I knew the hands were off somehow but got frustrated with trying to fix it so many times early on, telling myself I'd fix it later like the shoulder but neglected/forgot to do so as this was too long coming in a sense; I'm still figuring my way around the line-art for another piece, maybe trying some blur or smudge effect or a bigger canvas size? (Though I've seen smaller pieces done smoother by more experienced artists or through different programs).
