I painted a Geisha from the new Ghost In the Shell remake using stills from the trailer and Adam Savage’s behind the scenes video for Tested! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KosBvDyWgnA&t=724s)
The movie isn’t out yet, but this design was so badass in the trailer I couldn’t resist painting it. It likely won’t be as good as the original, but this design gives me hope.
This took me a weekend to finish, on and off for around ten hours. I learned a lot about Photoshop during this project, mainly that I was using a much-too-small image size before, (who would have thought that upping the resolution means more detail?!) and that I was using clipping masks backwards.
I’m only just starting back into digital painting after a long hiatus, so let me know if you like it, and if I should continue or not!
