Apollo is a survivor of a post apocalyptic world (brought to oblivion by nuclear fallout) who managed to find refuge in a corrupt private military organisation which used child soldiers to 'win' a world war. Many of these children were cybernetically enhanced to be able to combat the many machines they were up against, and apollo was one of them. (looking back on it, their backstory is very similar to Raidens from mgrr if he was in Ultrakill's violence layer). They are deaf and use sign language to communicate with those around them.
