My entry for Jazza's 'After the Horror Comp'. The 2018 'Halloween' remake left us with the sound of Michael's breathing, indicating that he survived the fire and is out there somewhere.... I imagine him (clothes torn, burned to the bone, on the edge of death) looking in through the window of those responsible for his shattered state on the eve of Christmas, whispering through his torn mask 'Merry Christmas folks', followed by a devilish grin, foreshadowing the horrors to come...
