This one took me 3:32, and I did it on a different computer so I could record the brushstrokes, anyone stupidly curious can see that on youtube, I ended up not putting any music in but it's still there if somebody gets bored.

Anyway, this is a new species and form too, the original concept was planned to be another Relke form but i just couldn't get it to fit the theme and aesthetic for the iron species. After some 2 AM rambling and my brain throwing around random concepts, I decided that the cool thing this one can do is that it literally just yells really loud in a wide range of frequencies, this thing can scream just right to make your bones turn into powder; from there I figured it'd need to be a really tough metal that can stand a lot of warping without fatiguing so I settled on Tungsten. It's also deaf so it can't deafen itself (big brain design I know); so in order to communicate, this species as a whole has evolved telepathy and can simply speak into the minds of people they want to talk to, but since most things can't be telepathic back they all know how to read lips really well. I also didn't want to use horns again since It felt like it'd be lame if I just depended on that all the time to make the back of the head less boring, so this species as a whole has fine needlelike crystals that run down it's head and neck like a horse's mane; they're slightly flexible but still break and stab pretty easily, I'd say they're probably something kinda like fiberglass but harder, so they can look kinda fluffy sometimes but if you were to stick your hand in it you'd probably get thousands of tiny cuts and stabs and pull your hand out to see a bunch of little crystals lodged in your palm. I was also lame and gave this form wings, much like a praying mantis it has wings folded out over it's lower body, but I decided to be extra stupid and made the part that folds over the wings hard like a beetle's elytra, the wings themselves are actually more birdlike in appearance because I do what I want and this is a wacky fantasy creature. I gave it mayfly tails because that randomly popped into my head when doing concept art, I don't actually know if mayflies get any use from their tails even after trying to look it up, I know that water scorpions have similar tails that actually function as weird little snorkels but for the sake of this monster species the tails are like a cat's whiskers and help in vibration detection.

Something I'm still thinking about for this species is giving them a symbiotic carbon species as a reference to how on earth tungsten is really hard to melt so instead of a pure metal most tungsten objects are actually made from a ceramic

of tungsten carbide, the idea would be that this symbiotic bacteria would toughen the host up a bit by making their plates harder and more durable, but I'm not sure if I want to build some downside into that or not yet. Maybe the bacteria makes it stronger but forces the Taburstier to seek out carbon to survive, or it slowly makes the creature blind or something, I just don't know how much of an impact i want that concept to have yet and should probably do more research.

The actual species name is Taburstier (taa-bur-steer), this form is called Mirlenkt (mur-link-t); the character themselves' name is Alkende and I haven't really figured out any character concepts for them yet, I'm kinda thinking of making them have some simple and peaceful job like managing a warehouse or building houses, maybe they have a criminal past they're trying to cover up or dreams of doing something greater, I really don't know how I want to write them yet.

Oh and thanks to some goofing off in my discord server, the god of war in Ferrinsyl is named Greg and the whole reason he's so hostile is because nobody wants to take his name seriously, he's really charismatic though and convinced the god of knowledge to give themselves a swirlie at the dawn of time because me and my friends are a bunch of unhinged idiots.
