Wesirn

Alright so this took me 1:24 and it's pretty simplistic as a result.

I've had horrible art block and overall trash motivation for a bit so I haven't drawn much, so this was a quick little thing to warm up and get back into the groove of actually drawing things but it didn't fail horribly so I figured people might think it was neat at least. As for the character's form, Wesirn is a faelin sorlianth, which is a form I don't think I've shown here much if at all, but the general premise is a humanoid that sometimes looks like a person wearing a mask. There's different "styles" of sorlianths with some looking more passable as human if they paint their scales and wear clothes and then there's individuals more like Wesirn here that just kinda look like humanoid faelins. The concept came from an old joke I made based on a friend's character interacting with my mascot, Serivas, dude had a plague doctor guy and the whole joke was that Seri mistook the dude for a sick faelin. There is a reason I'm not a professional writer that joke's kinda stupid.

Wesirn themself is actually the first sorlianth I ever designed and they're one of Serivas' parents, they have a bit more scarring and plate damage from the fact that sorlianth often run into trouble due to their typically smaller frames and stereotype as lying sneaks. In-lore, sorlianth are the most recent form of faelin, having been created from extensive experimentation from a few governments trying to create spies that could blend in better with sapient races from other dimensions, a lot of eugenics and selective breeding on sapient creatures just doesn't sit well with some people even in Ferrinsyl. Wesirn here has been to other dimensions a few times, maybe a mission or two where they had to figure out more about the natives or try to undermine a scientific breakthrough that would make the society more of a threat, I'd like to think that they picked up some things from these cultures kinda like what Seldidth had to, so Wes can absolutely make references to things from the earth and wouldn't skip a beat if you used masculine pronouns with them. They aren't innately male or anything but they've been on more than one trip where they pretended to be some dude in a horse mask that didn't know english or showed up in some really religious place claiming to be a demon that only speaks in tongues. Wesirn isn't really malicious or anything, they just do what they think needs done to keep them alive and happy most of the time.
