Ricky Davidson = Kobalt Steel

A redesign I gave the old character of Ricky Davidson, one of the intended main characters of one of my projects. The current direction for the character of Ricky, compared to the old project, is that he's kind-of like a hybrid of Ryo Hazuki, from Shenmue, combined with Solid Snake from the Metal Gear series. By that, I mean that he starts off as a well intention and respectful, albeit naive, impulsive, and stubborn, being a star athlete in his college's football team (but aspires to be a Boxer), but as the events of the project unfold, he slowly transforms into a very efficient combatant able to handle himself in military-style conflicts and is very skilled with all sorts of weapons, after being recruited by a left-wing militia group near the city. He's an individual who is not afraid of conflict and confrontation, even though he often would prefer to stay out of them, but he has a tendency to get too "into the moment" and easily pulled into a "challenge."

For the most part, Ricky's design is the same as before, except with an added white bandana around his neck, a thing I've been adding to characters to avoid drawing necks, as well as a modified hairstyle, because I found the Afro to be a bit too hard for me to make look good. However, the main change is that, in game, he would be changed from a pretty average looking black dude into a six foot tall beefcake type guy, with very defined, massive, and toned body build; however, his massive physique is covered in that outfit, making his muscular body a surprise to many. The intent here is to have it so that Ricky can appear as normal, even as silly, as Ryo throughout the Shenmue games, while having a capable body that would make sense for a war soldier like Solid Snake.
