I've been re-watching a lot of old 90s anime, and got inspired to make a kind of lo-fi poster design. May sell it as a print or shirt or something later.

Surreal

Ok this is a bit surreal, but in a way you are making people want more. You used a drawing and art with sexual themes, but hid the goods unless you "CLICK ME" which isn't possible for the art portal, but maybe this is your intention at a later time or for your website? I think omitting things makes for an interesting concept but gives off a surreal image that I am liking very much. Yes you have some good details and use of color here with great body drawing and a good anime style. I would click...

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
I think it is great work, but the shoulders and arms seem a bit off from the head, so maybe try to work on that.

I plan on making a revamp of this piece and selling it as a poster (or shirt, not sure yet...), so I'll keep this all in mind. THANKS SO MUCH!!

Do the sell. Also, care to share any gems of knowledge you might have picked up in your viewing history about that era in fiction?

Jradgex responds:

You mean any artistic troupes about 90s anime?

Well for one thing, older anime wasn't afraid to show noses. Most modern anime tries to "imply" a nose on their character, with a little dot or tiny slash below the eyes. I think the intent is to make it look more cute while not looking too "cartoony." Big, exaggerated noses only used on comedic characters or fantasy creatures. But in older animes, you'd see everybody rocking some kind of nose. At minimum, it would still look somewhat subtle, like a pointed tip and not much else.

But for other general stuff, you'll see shadows are a lot darker, eyes and pupils are MUCH bigger, and line-art is a thicker if that makes sense. I'm no expert! Just what I've observed! HAHA!
