Ms. Fortune - Summer time!

Share

Summer’s comin boys n gals!

Ms Fortune is probably my favourite from the Skullgirls roster, right beside Valentine and Beowulf (I’m pretty open minded). I like her design and playstyle, BUT I have a real problem her gosh darn puns! I seriously fear that I might snap if I hear one more pun relating to cats!

Anyways, this illustration took a lot of time, and a lot of blood, sweat and tears. I was mostly experimenting with a different painting technique, which was doing it first in grayscale, then adding a colour overlay and detail on top of that. There was also the lineart which was a b%^&h to do. It was a very long and slow process, which was the main reason this illustration took so long. Also I’m pretty much a nub which didn’t help. And with my busy (and sad) life, it’s hard to find days to do something like this, which is pretty much everyone’s problem. The only thing that was driving me was my passion, caffeine and RAGE!(not really). But in the end, I made it and I felt awesome afterwards. And hopefully someone might see this and say “This guy is pretty cool. I like him, we should hang sometime”. Or they could see me as a crazy dude with a weird infatuation with bikini’s and a dismembered cat girl, who also talks to himself.

So, if you’re that one person, please leave some feedback if you liked it and share it with your friends (if any), it’ll be much appreciated :). Also if you didn’t like it… fightme1v1onskullgirlsI’llkickyourass!
