A Golden Fan of Freddy, Cassidy Carliota

William's Recording: "I tried out the new Remnant Cores on one of our animatronics today. How I got a Soul for it is another can of worms. Anyway, it worked, Fredbear sprung to life...and then he attacked me. I barely got the core out. Damn child nearly bit my head off. I tossed the core out with the kid in it. Serves her right. Since then, Fredbear's been acting a bit buggy. I suppose these machines weren't strong enough for my work. No matter. I can make better ones. I have a whole factory, don't I?"

After an incident at Fredbear's Diner, the Fredbear animatronic went inactive, and nothing they did could switch it back on. And so it was scrapped alongside Spring Bonnie. Left in storage to salvage for parts, the animatronic wound up finding a different purpose after a rogue puppet decided to go fishing in the dumpster to save a lost soul. An angry, lost soul. Evidentally, the Soul, Cassidy, bonded with the empty suit, becoming what she is now. While neither Charlie nor Cassidy know it right now, they fall under the category of Yokai, ones of human origin. In the Multiverse, Cassidy serves as the Puppet's partner in crime, being the only animatronic, for a while at least, that is fully aware of what the Puppet is doing. The others eventually catch on though. Unfortunately, it takes a good while before the two can muster up enough power to resist their animatronics' programming, by which I mean moving around during the daylight and all.

I posted an early look at Cassidy's design, and two friends thought she was a catgirl. To be fair, Freddy's ears are pointy like that in the original game. The pigtails are actually based on Cassidy's brief appearance in a picture in the FNAF Survival Guidebook.

On an unrelated note, I saw that Golden Freddy was added to FNAF AR, and he looks slightly different. For starters, those aren't empty eye-holes, those are fully black eyeballs. He's also a lot shinier, even compared to the other animatronics with updated looks. Upon closer inspection, he's actually covered in glitter. My personal theory is that, with some differences, this is what Fredbear was supposed to look like back when he was used onstage, all shiny and eye-catching. Compare that to the messier looking suit we see in the first game.
