i like thinking about hypothetical biology in my creatures and i decided to start drawing it. apologies for my ass handwriting and any spelling / grammar mistakes.

in case it's difficult to read:

1. their membrane-like skin is supported via liquid pressure rather than bones. this allows the Gastromorph to change shape similarly to an amoeba or octopi.
2. as well as their shape, Gastromophs can change the pattern on their skin at will. Examples below. (why did i capitalize "examples"?)
3. what appear to be their eyes are actually a dynamic pattern used to show emotion and related social cues to other species. they make up for their lack of sight with enhanced olfactory, auditory and tactile senses. (i didn't write this down at the time, but they can often be found in symbiotic relationships with other creatures, hence the need to show emotion visually.)
4. -> visibly bored, sorry this wasn't too interesting. (referring to the bored looking Gastromorph in the middle.)
5. *emotions were asked to be demonstrated, not induced. due to this, faces may be inaccurate. no Gastromorphs were made to feel uncomfortable.
