PETs are common for the Battle Network series, but since the timeline I envisioned for ReInstalled goes a little bit more into the future, a new design of a PET was called for. This is the Skid Key PET, named for its small keypad that slides out. Below are the list of its functions or facts about this type of PET:

-Wireless Jack in feature, like with later PETs

-Operator can choose which network when PET is within general area

-Press the Navi Emblem to jack in, saving time

-Slot for Battle Chips or to scan chip data

-Chip Folders can store 40 Battle Chips instead of 30

-Camera lens for recording/taking pictures, can edit graphics

-Grip Attachment soft on palms, magnetically attach to PET, assists in hands on Net Battling

-GPS tracking device in Grip Attachment

-Slide open keypad for typing, improves dexterity of fingers and keeps fingers from having to smudge PET screen

-Keypad helps with Net Battling, physical messaging, and hacking (if you're a criminal).

-Durable built-in protective casing

-Manual home button, power button, volume controls

-Waterproof

-Audio jack, charger station and plug in charger 

This PET is sure to be a must-have in this rendition! Of course, with a more advanced upgrade to the systems, along with a special chip and achieving certain qualifications, there's a special power to harness in a custom PET. You'll find out what that is eventually.
