This is the Foxfire Candle, my second entry for Swordtember! As per the name, the prompt was "candle". The idea here was to have a weapon that starts out as a candle with an overly fancy candleholder. Then, the wax grows into a blade when the wielder focuses their spiritual energy in it, becoming a swift straight blade.

But the full potential of the blade is achieved once the wielder reaches the paroxysm of their focus. The blade separates into 10 segments, and foxfire beads are formed, serving not only as powerful catalysts for spell, but also as devastating weapon on their own, able to unleash storms of fire and explosions.

Out of all the blades I've made, this one here would be one of the hardest to use properly, due to the potential that one needs to develop to make the most of its abilities. As it goes, however, this blade will soon find an owner...
