Congrats on the new gallery update! I've been waiting for this for a while. If you follow both my socials and this site, you might notice that some artwork wasn't uploaded here! Partially this is due to not believing pieces, such as these commissions, not doing well on their own but perhaps more together. Since the site used to compress artwork posted after the "main" one, as I like to do separate smaller images to work within Twitter's limitations, I usually have to combine everything into one big image to keep the quality. It's kind of a pain and I got lazy, lol.

With the new update, I can easily mass-upload multiple pieces into one page while keeping the quality. I tend to do simple character lineups so this is fantastic!

These are various character design commissions I did throughout 2023. It's a fun challenge to collaborate with various people and sometimes get out of my comfort zone to help reach their vision. It's the most fun I have with commission work and I'd like to do more stuff like this in the future, if possible!

Characters Belong To (In Order of Gallery Appearance)

1 - 3: flynnscreations

My favorites out of the group. I went harder on the asymmetry, which I felt added a ton of characters to the... characters! This client is a regular and tends to really "get" me, so it's easy to nail what they're looking for.

4: beachupunk

This was fun! The mood board I was given included stuff from the likes of Megaman Battle Network, so I tried to give off a similar vibe while still keeping to my style. I went for a design that looks like it could be an NPC in the game. Looking back, I'd probably change some things like making the hands bigger and doing the feet properly instead of the blobs I did. This was done earlier in the year before I started really improving around summer.

5 - 6: Jakstalgia

I got asked to redesign his "mascot" of his channel! Since I noticed he does videos on GameCube games, I tried to make something that is befitting of that era. The big inspirations were WarioWare and Puyo Fever. The two images were different attempts at colors, both palettes were taken from the GameCube Controllers (The green one was based on a Luigi-themed controller!). Ultimately I left that up to the main channel artist, so none of my color suggestions got used.

Additionally, here's some concept work I did for this

If A seems familiar to you, I used that to create Lan (Seen here!)! It was too good to pass up. I got requested to include his old design in some way, so I just slapped C and D outfit on the original. Pretty easy all things considered.

As a random note, he uploaded the redesign I did on his socials... yet used my shitty sketch instead of the finished version lol

Aw well, I find it more funny than anything.
