Who is that mysterious diver visiting these ocean depths? And what is he here for? I know why! He’s here to celebrate the anniversary of the game ‘Infiltrating the Airship’ from the Henry Stickmin Collection (which is actually tomorrow but anyway)! Or at least he’s here to interact with the merpeople in this celebratory piece.

Granted, this piece is not tailored for the game specifically, but I did want to send a nod to the game in some fashion, and so I used Henry himself, Thomas Chestershire, and the giant ruby that Ellie the mermaid is holding.

Ellie herself doesn’t appear in the previously mentioned game but I’ve been wanting to draw Ellie as a mermaid again at some point, and this seemed like the perfect excuse - er, I mean, timing - to draw her again. She loves shiny things like Henry, so she’s here in this… I suppose it’s like an alternate universe of the game, but with merpeople.
