Here's a fan piece I did for @ToastieTV 's Comet. I tried giving off the same energy the character would have when attempting to do a comic styled piece. Still, I think it turned out well!
you've done well with the colors and the lighting is great,but i think that mainly using a softer brush for the shading hurt the piece a bit,espacially considering you're going for a comic style,i think you'd benefit from using harder brushes alot more for the shading. another thing i can suggest,try using different hues with a slightly darker version of the same colors your shading with. you've done well with the hands too,and the effects are solid,and the pose works great. and your direction with the metal is spot on
