Yup! And her appearance is based on the apparently bleaker death from the original story of The Little Mermaid, causing her to jump out into the water, to turn into sea foam, and then having her soul ascend into the skies to meet up with The Daughters of Air. But what's more bleaker is, when she's doing up to 300 years of good deeds, we, as humans, won't be able to see her into the future, any longer.
