When building Billy's model (before Rolly was even started), I learned that they have casual outfits in the in-game cinematics. I thought "eh, why not?"
Billy's jacket hoodie was dauntingly exciting. It's a complex folded cloth mesh that I thought would be a nightmare to model and rig, but it wasn't that bad of an experience. I'm quite happy with the results.
Rolly's outfit was simple to make. I found her shoes to be the most entertaining thing to model and rig. I had to take a few liberties, specifically with her flower hair pin. The in-game cutscenes don't display it clearly, so I had to improvise.
I should not understate that this project turned into one whole character, then a "clone," followed by one alternate outfit for each. With the amount of things I had to handle and keep track of, I can say I don't plan on doing something similar anytime soon.
