This is a basic portrait of a dog we had years ago. I painted this in order to practice painting fur of differing lengths and textures and a golden retriever certainly has that. I was also trying to make this as real as possible while maintaining the look of a painting.

Really soft and alive-looking portrait this one. Wise eyes and silky fur... it's all surprisingly vivid. Only part thatlooksslightly out of place is probably the mouth. Fantastic work though.

Believe it or not, that was a quirk of the dog. Her lower lip was huge and stuck out like that. Thanks for the review!
This great, i can feel soft fur texture by just look at it, and the light from his/her eye just perfect
