For context: I am a fan of the 2006 Pixar feature, Cars, as growing up with this film was definitely an experience I'll never forget, especially if you know me personally. I created this piece of art utilizing the film's 2004 teaser trailer as reference to make this as accurate as possible. This version of Lightning McQueen can be seen in said teaser, test footage that can be found in some featurettes that are on the Blu-ray releases of the film, in storyboard form in the deleted scenes, and other test stills. It is also noted that in one of the deleted scenes, it is confirmed that there was an "E" in Lightning, meaning that this artwork's title of "Lightening McQueen" is not a typo. Proof? Go watch the Top Down Truck Stop scene that is featured in the Deleted Scenes, and you will see some merchandise that has that name on there.
